Anthropology Courses
General Information
The purpose of the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology is to provide students with a broad and interdisciplinary understanding of the human experience. Anthropology bridges the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to explore human diversity across time and space. Students may choose from a wide range of courses across cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and archaeology, as well as classes in anthropological theory, research methods, and analytical approaches.
Earn Your BA in Anthropology:
To earn a BA in Anthropology, students complete 36 credit hours of ANTH coursework, including at least 24 upper-division credit hours (3000-level or above). Students must earn a grade of C or better in courses applied to the major and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in all ANTH coursework. No more than 60 credit hours of ANTH coursework may apply toward the degree.
The Anthropology curriculum provides a strong academic foundation while encouraging student research, collaboration, and engagement both in and out of the classroom.
